Job Purpose

Provide comprehensive support in the design, implementation and administration of corporate health and welfare benefits programs to maintain external competitiveness; implement and administer policies, procedures, compliance, compensation, recruiting, immigration, and oversee other corporate HR services.

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

  • Conduct analysis assignments involving the development, installation, and administration of benefit and other HR services programs
  • Provide consultation and coordinate services relating to various HR corporate services, programs, systems, benefits, employee relations and compliance issues
  • Responsible for programs such as recruiting, relocation, immigration, and the employee substance abuse program (SAPP) including administration, enhancement recommendations, etc.
  • Assist with investigations for LP Confidential calls, employee concerns, complaints and other issues
  • Ensure orientations in the corporate office are conducted timely and consistently
  • May address benefit plan, compliance and compensation questions and assist with completing or reviewing documents
  • Assist in development of cost control procedures to assure maximum coverage at a minimum cost to organization and employees
  • Assist with proactively identifying benefit issues and implementing problem-solving strategies with clients, peers, and vendors
  • Assist with researching benefit plans and and making recommendations
  • Monitor and track benefit compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Remain current on all policies, programs and practices. Stay informed of new and pending laws and regulations.
  • Compile periodic and special reports on benefits, compliance, and compensation matters to monitor deadlines and completion dates of required activities, as well as reporting for other purposes
  • May oversee the completion of projects including planning, assigning, monitoring and reviewing progress and accuracy of work, evaluating results, etc.
  • Manage direct reports, including hiring, training, performance management and career development
  • Develop, implement and monitor annual functional budget

What do I need to be successful?

  • 5+ years’ related experience
  • Or any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform responsibilities of this position
  • Working knowledge of employment law, labor relations, and HR strategies
  • Working knowledge of compensation, benefits, and compliance related federal and state rules and regulations
  • Familiarity with general Human Resources processes and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage projects

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or related field
