LP is dedicated to investing in communities where our employees live and work. The company provides funding, products and volunteers to support public schools and nonprofit organizations. Contributions are focused in four areas: shelter/housing, environment, education and social services.

Check out a few highlights from the corporate team's community involvement in Nashville!

LP has been a proud and long-time partner of Rebuilding Together Nashville (RTN), an organization that helps people in the greater Nashville area with home repairs and renovations. In addition to grants from the LP Foundation and in-kind product donations, LP employees volunteer their time making home repairs. RTN serves about 30 families a year and has been helping the community for more than 20 years.

In October 2019, LP partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville to host the 2019 Jimmy & Rosalyn Carter Work Project. Over 40 LP employees joined nearly 600 volunteers to help build 21 homes in north Nashville. LP was a proud sponsor and donated $50,000 in LP products including LP® SmartSide® Trim & Siding, LP® TechShield® Radiant Barrier Sheathing, LP® SolidStart® LVL and LP® TopNotch® Sub-Flooring and Wall Panels. The LP Foundation also donated $50,000 toward the project earlier in the year.

LP partners with the PENCIL Foundation to help students in Nashville achieve academic success. The LP PENCIL box puts much needed school supplies in the hands of Nashville’s students. More than $1.44 million in school supplies were distributed to students and teachers for the 2018-2019 school year. Each year, dozens of LP employees and their families volunteer with PENCIL and the Tennessee Titans to collect school supplies at Titans home game in Nashville.
