Job Description: 

Job Purpose

To perform routine preventative electrical maintenance functions and assist higher level positions as an electrician in our Watkins, MN facility.  This facility produces LP FlameBlock, an OSB product that has a coating applied to assist with flame spread in residential, commercial, along with additional applications.  

Hourly wage rage:  $31.00 to $38.00 DOQ.   Full benefits package to include:  Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Time Off Bank, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, Tuition Assistance Program, Health Savings Account, Pet Insurance, Legal Plan, Paid Holidays, 401K & Profit Sharing with up to 5% Company match.

 

 

Schedule available:  Day Shift is available for this electrician role, to support our overall manufacturing operations, and overtime may be scheduled on both shifts based on business operational needs.  Our facility produces product currently beginning 5:00AM to 10:00PM, Monday - Thursday, and on Fridays from 5:00AM to 1:00PM.  

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

  • Perform routine preventative electrical maintenance functions.
  • Assist higher level positions.
  • Start program logic control (PLC) training.
  • Learn and train on maintenance electrical functions.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.

 

What do I need to be successful?

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic knowledge of electrical functions.
  • Knowledge of equipment and tools.
  • Time management skills.
  • Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations.

 

Education:

  • Vocational degree preferred, with an electrical focus.

Experience:

  • 2+ years’ electrical experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.

 

Work Environment

  • The manufacturing environment includes exposure to moving parts, fumes, chemicals, airborne particles and high temperatures.
  • The employee must have the ability to climb, bend, stoop, kneel, work in inclement weather, and work with elevated noise levels.
  • The position requires the ability to lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
