Job Purpose

To provide skilled preventive and predictive maintenance at the Maintenance Mechanic II level in an industrial setting.

Upon accepting this position, it is our expectation that the individual(s) selected will attain the knowledge/experience level of an A-Millwright within one year.  If this expectation is not met, we will reevaluate this position.

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

  • Consistently demonstrates safety as the highest priority and perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
  • Perform skilled preventive and predictive maintenance functions.
  • Perform moderately difficult equipment repairs and steel fabrication.
  • Communicate with Maintenance Supervisor on complex issues.
  • Perform all duties as necessary

What do I need to be successful?

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance functions.
  • Knowledge of maintenance equipment and tools.
  • Time management and prioritizing skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and written repair manuals.
  • Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to demonstrate and practice moderate oxy-acetylene cutting skills
  • Ability to professionally fabricate with both metal and wood
  • Ability to work 12 hour shifts
  • Knowledge of hydraulics

 

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of technical training in general maintenance.

Experience:

  • 2 – 5 years’ general maintenance experience required.
  • Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
