Job Description:
Job Purpose
Move and/or store wood stock prior to engineered wood processing using heavy machinery.
Job Responsibilities:
- Unload log truck in a safe and timely manner.
- Maintain a steady flow of wood into the log ponds.
- Load bark into assigned trucks.
- Assist in log yard clean up.
- Remove debris from log ponds and maintain a clean work environment.
- Repair and maintain machinery as needed.
- Record detailed maintenance work requests, safety work requests, and daily downtime in the EAM program.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Education (including licenses and certifications):
Minimum Required:
- GED or equivalent.
Experience:
Minimum Required:
- Three (3) years of large equipment operating experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Understand and obey all safety policies, standards, and regulations at company, state, and federal levels.
- Recognize and comply with all environmental policies and procedures including spill response, general waste, and wood waste procedures.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Ability to operate all general machines (log handle equipment, front end loader, grader, skid-steer, and dump truck).
- Advance knowledge of general machine maintenance.
- Ability to utilize EAM software.
