Industrial Millwright

Job Purpose

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform basic equipment repairs.
• Assemble equipment using schematics, blueprints, and written repair manuals.
• Operate and inspect mill machinery to ensure it is working properly.
• Perform preventative maintenance on a scheduled basis.
• Communicate with lead millwright, operators, and supervisors to identify issues.
• Transfer materials using various mobile equipment.
• Assure there is an adequate number of spare parts.
• Maintain a clean work environment
• Record detailed maintenance work requests, safety work requests, and daily downtime in the EAM program.
• Perform other duties as necessary

Job Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance functions.
• Knowledge of maintenance equipment and tools.
• Time management and prioritizing skills.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and written repair manuals.
• Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of technical training in general maintenance, strongly preferred.

Experience:

• 2 – 5 years’ general maintenance experience required.
• Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
