Job Description:
Job Purpose
Operates, adjusts, and monitors roller coater and all conveyors to ensure quality board is produced.
In this position you will have the opportunity to:
- Monitors panel weights to ensure quality product.
- Completes all Quality tests and set-up procedures
- Fills chain troughs with fresh water prior to start up and before each run
- Verifies panel gap at coater is set correctly
- Inspects slurry coater daily, noting any deficiencies
- Cleans sensors
- Monitors gapping conveyor
- Adjusts fiberglass choppers to ensure proper glass coverage
- Monitors coat thickness with wet film gauge
- Removes change and/or clean spray tips
- Pressure washes conveyors and floor underneath
- Pressure washes slurry coater cabinet and pans
- Flushes slurry transfer pump
- Responsible for the system clean up, spray down process during the day and end of day clean up
- Assist on fiberglass changes
- Uses radio to maintain communication with operators, maintenance, and supervisor
- Logs downtime and notes causes
- Performs all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned/necessary

- Knowledge of multiple complex equipment operation.
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance.
- Time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated mechanical ability.
- Demonstrated ability to operate multiple pieces of equipment.
- Possess ability to work in extreme temperatures
- Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations.
Education:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Experience:
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in equipment operation.
- Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
