Job Description: 

Job Purpose

To monitor and maintain sufficient operating moisture and levels in furnish bins in order to ensure quality material is supplied to forming and press process.

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

  1. Maintains specified moisture content in material by adjusting controllers, monitoring moisture and charts, performing moisture tests
  2. Monitor trends on dryers to control process
  3. Monitors thermal oil temperature, adjusts controllers, maintains fuel supply
  4. Regulates bin levels, maintains dryer temperature and regulates fuel level by manipulating panel controls
  5. Uses panel control switches to direct emission flow
  6. Uses radio to maintain communication with operating personnel, plant maintenance, dryer end helper and supervisor
  7. Monitors RTOs and Wesp functions to stay in compliance with EPA regulations.
  8. Assign causes for MACT alarms, Opacities, and Excursions
  9. Assign root causes in AFX downtime database
  10. Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations
  11. Perform other duties as assigned/necessary

What do I need to be successful?

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  1. Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations
  2. Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to alarm warnings
  3. Basic computer skills and process control monitoring

 

 

Education:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required

 

Experience:

  •  Minimum of 2 years of experience strongly preferred
  •  Preparatory experience as a dryer utility and dryer aid
