Job Purpose

The Senior Salesforce Administrator is a key member of the IT Customer Solutions team responsible for hands-on Salesforce platform administration, configuration delivery, operational support, release coordination, and platform optimization. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, Application/Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, SI partners, and IT delivery teams to implement scalable and well-governed Salesforce solutions aligned with approved architecture standards, security models, and platform roadmap direction.

Success in this role requires strong Salesforce expertise, sound judgment around governance and change management, and the ability to translate approved business requirements and architecture guidance into practical, scalable Salesforce configurations.

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

  • Perform hands-on Salesforce administration and configuration work to support day-to-day operations and approved enhancements.
  • Implement and maintain org-wide defaults based on security models and access decisions defined by Application Architecture.
  • Design and maintain automation using Flow and related declarative tools, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and alignment with approved platform standards
  • Perform hands-on Salesforce administration and configuration work to support day-to-day operations
  • Configure and maintain roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, public groups, and org-wide defaults 
  • Identify technical debt, configuration risks, automation complexity, and platform optimization
  • Support established Salesforce governance, change management, and release management processes.
  • Coordinate sandbox usage and support deployments using approved tools and processes
  • Partner with Application Architecture and SI teams during platform reviews and release readiness activities.
  • Operate within the IT service-oriented model by supporting Salesforce delivery execution while partnering with IT teams as appropriate.
  • Support and maintain integrations
  • Escalate integration design changes, API/middleware impacts, data ownership questions, or cross-system dependencies to Application/Solution Architecture, Data & Analytics, integration teams, and SI partners for review.
  • Partner with Sales Ops, Marketing Ops, Customer Experience, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and design effective Salesforce solutions.
  • Translate approved business needs and architecture guidance into scalable, supportable Salesforce configurations

What do I need to be successful?

  • 4–7 years of Salesforce administration experience supporting Sales and/or Service use cases.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification required.
  • Advanced Salesforce certifications (e.g., Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Sales Cloud or Service Cloud Consultant).
  • Working knowledge of Apex and triggers sufficient for troubleshooting and partnering with developers.
  • Experience with DevOps or release management tools (e.g., Copado, Gearset, Azure DevOps, Jira, ServiceNow).
  • Experience supporting integrations with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and third-party applications.
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum delivery models.
  • Active participation in the Salesforce community or Trailhead.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification required.
  • Advanced Salesforce certifications preferred

Work Environment

  • This position will be remote, working in a home office environment.
  • Occasional travel is required for training sessions, workshops, or key business meetings (typically limited).
