Job Purpose

 

Drive growth in LP’s Offsite Business Segment (shed and manufactured/modular housing) across siding and structural solutions within a defined LP region.  The position involves connecting the end-to-end business development & execution between LP teams and other internal & external stakeholders. This role reports to the National Sales Manager and is responsible for annual revenue ranging from $15MM - $30MM.

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

Provide business growth by executing LP’s value at stake strategy, resulting in double-digit growth for the Offsite Business segment.

Develop and manage strong relationships with the technical sales team & distribution partners

Develop and communicate the voice of the customer to be included in LP’s strategies and business decisions Create compelling business cases to secure new business

Executive-level presentations and proposals

Identify new business opportunities and develop execution plans through market understanding and feedback from the local field sales team and distribution trends

Create and present new business concepts and proposals

Determine, analyze, and implement territory offsite segment business plans on siding and structural solutions that connect to national strategies

Understand the customer’s business and respond to customer issues in an appropriate and timely manner

Maintain files of in-house and competitive program Develop effective communication and coordination with LP business teams and LP management as the communication point between LP and the Offsite Construction locations in the territory. Provide direct or indirect solutions to account problems to achieve customer satisfaction in coordination with the National Sales Manager.

Provide input into LP’s annual operating budget and sales forecast

Maintain budgetary control of expenses

What do I need to be successful?

Ability to align a team toward specific goals and advise on specific business requirements

Deep understanding of building science and the construction industry

Demonstrated knowledge of the Offsite Construction industry and drive product placement

Ability to develop, interpret, and present market data

Ability to analyze sales and inventory data for trends, anomalies, and opportunities.

Knowledge of customer account structure (merchandising, inventory, logistics) and how each interacts with vendors

Demonstrated knowledge of the building products industry and codes

Demonstrated knowledge of effective sales methods

Strong negotiation and budget management skills

Demonstrated knowledge of effective customer service and support

Executive-level presentation skills

Ability to build trust-based relationships

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field

 

EXPERIENCE

5 years of demonstrated sales and marketing experience, or any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position

   Proven business track record required, as well as demonstrated and recognized ability to coach, lead, and communicate value with cross-functional team members

Work Environment

Frequent travel (50-70%), overnight travel visiting Offsite Construction manufacturing & dealer locations

Territory includes the following states: Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and Utah
