Coordinate with specified inside and outside sales groups to manage key inputs in LP’s demand planning activities. Maintain system demand plans at monthly and weekly levels to support overall plan execution activities.

In this position you will have the opportunity to:
Demand Planning
- Manage supply chain planning tools and activities as required to support demand plan creation and management
- Collaborate with various groups to obtain forecast inputs
- Manage statistical forecasting models and tools to maintain base inputs to the demand plan
- Ensure execution level plans are accurate and complete
- Monitor order intake and forecast consumption to recognize issues and make or suggest the needed adjustments
- Maintain sales history to support the forecasting process
Communication and Coordination
- Review sales internally to confirm objectives and understanding
- Engage with order entry staff to understand order execution trends and concerns
- Collaborate with Customer Service for issue identification and resolution
- Coordinate with supply planners on supply plans and exception management
Analysis and Reporting
- Support the identification, communication and resolution of demand and sales related issues
- Drive continuous improvement in planning processes and tool utilization
- Support special reporting requirements as defined
- Monitor performance versus plan
- Maintain needed metrics to support S&OE processes
Administrative
- Participate in Corporate projects and committees as assigned.
- Interact with various levels of management regarding work products and issues
What do I need to be successful?
- 3+ years planning or production control related experience
- Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position
- Strong planning skills
- Base knowledge of supply chain planning and forecasting activities
- Demonstrated ability to compile and analyze data, develop metrics, and perform cost benefit analysis
- Ability to develop regularly scheduled business reports and presentations for upper management and peers using various computer software applications
- Ability to support continuous improvement projects and work efforts
- Ability to travel to mill and reload/VMI locations as needed
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, supply chain or related field
