Job Description: 

Job Purpose

To maintain mill area and equipment in clean, safe operating condition. This position is transitional with the goal of succession in a crew position working a rotating schedule. 

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

•    Prepare, paint surfaces as required using specified products and cleanup techniques
•    Maintain lawn and landscaping in neat, orderly condition
•    Maintain and operate fire extinguisher as needed
•    Clean equipment such as burners, blenders, conveyors, E-tubes and RTO wearing personal protective equipment as required, using established procedures
•    Operate forklift and bobcat to move, load and unload material
•    Install and remove bag house bags
•    Operate manlift to reach high areas for cleaning, painting and maintenance activities
•    Perform general plant maintenance activities such as sweeping, shoveling, wiping and washing
•    Observe all safety rules and regulations
•    Train in assigned areas with purpose of ability to cover vacancies and vacations on crews. 

 

What do I need to be successful?

* Forklift license
* Good eye / hand coordination
* Ability to stand for extended periods
* Knowledge of manlift, bobcat operation
* Knowledge of safe operation of hand and air tools, lawnmowers, weed eaters, fire extinguishers, paint and cleaning products

*Ability to work rotating 4-on, 4-off schedule working days/nights. 

*Ability to work with others and promote a positive work environment
 

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

 

Work Environment

Exposure to all climate temperatures

Manufacturing environment

May work at heights or in confined spaces
