Shipping Lead

Job Purpose

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

Key Responsibilities: (Tech Shield, T&G, Shipping)

• Responsible for leading, and training in department.
• Drives process improvement, cost reduction and continuous improvement projects.
• Follow and support departmental activities & goals with minimal guidance.
• Work with Mill Planner to assure adequate production capacity and company resources to fulfill production orders.
• Oversee the process to balance raw material receipts daily and perform raw material/finished goods inventory monthly.
• Fill in for the Mill Planner.
• Flexible to schedule changes/on call (fill in for absences)

Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations

• Demonstrated ability with computer and supporting software for communication and analytical functions.
• Demonstrated organizational and project management skills.
• Proven budgeting and financial analysis skills.
• Time management and multi-tasking skills.
• Thorough knowledge of current management and supervisory techniques.

Work Environment

• Office and industrial environment.
• Exposure to machinery, electrical sources, dust, chemicals, & loud noise.
