Job Description:
In this position you will have the opportunity to:
- Evaluate security and procedures at various locations.
- Conduct on-site inspections for compliance of security procedures.
- Scale trucks in and out and perform quality inspections of all incoming log trucks
- Assure all trucks and drivers comply with all safety rules and regulations
- Perform other duties as necessary.
- Clean the scales, scale house and surrounding areas
- Provide fill in coverage as needed
- Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
Job Purpose
To scale logs, OSB, by-products and other materials for documentation: maintain security for the mill; answer and transfer phone calls.
What do I need to be successful?
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Thorough understanding of security procedures and measures.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required
- Knowledge of investigation techniques and property loss prevention.
- Clerical knowledge
- Proficient with computers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Typing skills.
- Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- 6 months’ previous security experience.
- Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
