Job Purpose
Assist the site Materials Manager to meet inventory requirements and processing needs for the Newberry Facility.
In this position you will have the opportunity to:
- Take responsibility for the safety of yourself and others.
- Daily service needs of all plant personnel that come into the storeroom.
- Perform physical receiving responsibilities of all shipments, inspecting for physicla damage, comparing contents/corrections of shipments according to packing list.
- Perform electronic receiving in our EAM, SAP and Ariba Systems.
- Share communication of goods received to all plant requestors.
- Restock of all inventory received or returned to the storeroom on a daily basis.
- Make adjustments in the inventory database for returned inventory and critical inventory.
- Trake all spare parts that are sent out for repair, working with the Materials Manager
- Assist internal mill customers with defining new items that will neeed to be added to the inventory database.
- Manage paper flow, specifically daily receipts of inventoried items and send to proper processing center (Accounts Payable) with appropriate backup documentation.
- Accurately reconcile credit card charges in a timely manner.
- Assist Materials Manager in corrections needed to maintain GRIR requirements.
- Responsibility for "pulling and kitting" of work order driven maintenance needs and staging needs in a designated location.
- Manage paper flow, specifically receipts of incoming materials and items on a daily basis. Complete transmission of invoices to Accounts Payable where applicable.
- Perform as a "backup to the site Materials Manager and attend meetngs as required by the mill.
- Attend all mill safety training as required.
- Maintain organized shelf and floor space.
- Maintain clean shelving units.
- Professionally interact with vendors with ease and confidence.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
- Perform all duties in accordance with safety and environmental rules and regulations.

- Time management skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to be a self-starter, along with the capability to prioritize short term and long term activities.
- Ability to build and maintain strong site leel relationships.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to operator a computer and supporting software; interfacing in EAM, SAP and Ariba Systems.
- Knowledge of effective materials management, storeroom operations and inventory control.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multiple projects.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to become forklift certified.
- Must have an active Michigan State Driver's License with ability to operator company owned vehicle for parts running.
- Ability to read and understand safety and environmental rules and regulations.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two year technical degree is desirable.
- Formal storeroom/materials management training is desirable.
Experience:
- 2-5 years demonstrated maintenance/procurement/supply management experience is desirable.
- Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
Work Environment
- Plant environment with primary functions performed within the storeroom department. Some work within the plant environment.
- Occasional extended work hours.
- Extended standing and walking may be required at times.
- Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to use stairs and some use of ladders.
- Use of materials handling tools, hand trucks and pallet lift trucks.
- Frequent forklift use and parts running duties.
