Job Purpose

Manage and develop a team of successful Offsite Segment Sales Managers to implement sales strategies and grow demand for LP Products at Shed and Manufactured Housing Distributors and Builders.   Manage, coach and hire the offsite sales team in order to achieve the offsite sales plan. Develop regional customer relationships, execute field sales initiatives, facilitate product launches, sales promotions, selling of product line extensions at the regional/local level, and maintain in-store environment of assigned offsite retail partners. 

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

  • Achieve offsite sales goals and lead the execution of our offsite sales and marketing programs
  • Hire, train, coach, and direct an effective Offsite Segment Sales team (5-8 employees)
  • Provide sales leadership that includes quarterly target setting, data facilitation, territory alignment, performance evaluations, scheduling, and administration
  • Lead the sales team to have a deeper, solution selling focus, bringing sales growth ideas to Offsite customers
  • Develop strong relationships with the national offsite builders and align the team's objectives to execute the strategic direction established by the Offsite NAM
  • Train and develop the selling skills of the Offsite Segment Sales team targeting incremental builder conversions
  • Lead the sales process and support any new product innovation
  • Determine, communicate, and hold team accountable to weekly activities that lead to successful performance by each team member
  • Create, evaluate, and assign sales territories which maximize sales and margin growth and minimize costs
  • Communicate service issues, competitive information, sales promotions, etc. to the Offsite Director with consistent cadence
  • Lead team through program development, presentation, and execution
  • Develop and conduct performance reviews on a mid-year and annual time frame
  • Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations
  • Perform other duties as necessary

What do I need to be successful?

  • Demonstrated ability to sell across multiple channels and product lines and multiple programs
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively to find solutions and drive sales through offsite channels
  • Ability to lead, train, and manage employees
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of offsite retail environment & the offsite sales process
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, demonstrated with peers, superiors, and employees
  • Understanding of target or focus markets and competitors
  • Strong organization skills
  • Skilled at managing budgets and expenses
  • High level of computer proficiency

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required

Experience:

  • 5-7 years of sales leadership experience 
  • Experience and understanding of offsite go to market strategy 

Work Environment

  • Extensive travel required
  • Remote based home office with intermittent need to travel to corporate headquarters
