JOB PURPOSE:
To lead the development, execution, and attainment of the operating goals for the OSB product line, ensuring compliance with established corporate and regulatory policies and ensure the safe, environmentally sound production of a quality product.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide business-line leadership, vision, teamwork and communication to execute annual business and strategic plan.
- Analyze activities; costs, operations and market forecast data affecting the OSB Business. Develop strategic plan to improve production capabilities and business line financial performance. Drive the metrics and tracking systems used to measure business line performance and financials.
- Partner with OSB to identify the overall needs in business development, strategic planning and the execution of business performance.
- Drive performance improvements in all areas including capital deployment; monitor industry developments and Best Practices.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key strategic external customers.
- Responsible for providing leadership, coaching and resources to continually develop a business team that supports the operations through their various functions. Identify key training skills, development, and individual personnel objectives to enhance personnel value.
- Assist in the career development discussions and career planning activities for the OSB Business.
- Responsible for annual operational and capital budgeting preparation and administration.
- Responsible for maintaining operations and safety and environmental compliance.
- Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Thorough knowledge of effective management and supervisory methods.
- Specialized knowledge of financial analysis techniques and their application in manufacturing operations.
- Strong operations and capital budgeting skills.
- Broad management skills in establishing and managing systems and staff across geographical regions.

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required. Advanced degree preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 plus years experience in business management, strategic planning and execution.
- Proven/demonstrated ability to provide leadership and clarity to personnel and organizations both internally and externally. Experience in leading teams is desired.
- Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
