Job Purpose

The Procurement Systems Specialist provides tactical and transactional support for a suite of procurement technology solutions to support LP’s business operations.  As a member of LP’s Source to Settle Center of Excellence (COE), this role works closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs, analyze current ways of working, and implement “best in class” tools and technologies, driving continuous improvement in LP’s digital procurement processes and empowering digital transformation throughout the organization.

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

  • Strategize with internal business partners to ensure that all ERP procurement systems (SAP ECC, SAP Ariba, Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), etc.)  are aligned with current business requirements
  • Facilitate cross-functional team coordination and adoption of process documentation, templates, and systems to help optimize existing business processes
  • Effectively manage vendor information, procure to pay transactional compliance, and solutions-based ERP system administration
  • Liaison between End-Users and Vendors for specified categories of spend, utilizing ERP procurement systems
  • Maintain purchasing and invoicing activity reporting to ensure compliance with LP’s policies and procedures
  • Update and maintain supplier catalogs and related internal master data
  • Support various procurement technology implementation efforts through User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployment and optimization phases
  • Prepare, run, and communicate key reporting information to internal stakeholders on a periodic basis and coordinate root cause troubleshooting to address problem areas (i.e. failed transactions, reoccurring errors)
  • Implement long-term continuous improvement and innovation through close interaction with internal customers and support functions
  • Develop training documentation, provide user training, and conduct routine system testing and analysis
  • Lead ad-hoc projects to support the procure to pay environment as necessary
  • Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations

What do I need to be successful?

  • 2+ years experience supporting Procure to Pay systems and processes via SAP Ariba, required
  • Significant experience with other SAP applications, preferred; Knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA is a plus
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams while managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and facilitate change management throughout the organization
  • Desire to challenge the status quo and proactively identify opportunities for improvement
  • Experience working in a hybrid organizational structure
  • Familiarity with the end-to-end procurement process from sourcing of goods/services through payment reconciliation
  • Proficiency in standard MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, Teams)

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, or Operations Management or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position, required
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma (LSS) continuous improvement, Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), optional but desired

Work Environment

  • This position will work at home and in our Nashville office on a hybrid schedule
  • Must be within a commutable distance to Nashville or willing to relocate to the greater Nashville area
