Job Description: 

Job Purpose

Lead the pricing function to achieve business unit goals and ensure best practices corporately.  Provide strategic leadership to the department and business team to optimize strategy and tactical execution.  Serve as key liaison between sales leadership and pricing.  Establish and implement key pricing processes and tools to enable day to day pricing decisions.  Provide leadership and own day to day pricing decisions and implementation.

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

  • Accountable for continuous improvements in Pricing management, monitoring, and strategy while fostering a culture within business unit based on best practices across all LP business units
  • Provide strategic leadership and input to business teams around the areas of pricing management, data and trend analysis and assist in the creation of ongoing business strategies
  • Own and manage the day to day pricing decisions
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key strategic external & internal customers
  • Work with sales and portfolio management to ensure business/regional/segment profit goals are met on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Ensure margin optimization through implementation of pricing and programming best practices in collaboration with management
  • Measure and maintain profitability by product and by account
  • Provide day to day guidance to Pricing Associate
  • Implement and monitor pricing best practices
  • Provide timely and accurate reports and analysis to business team on key metrics and profit centers
  • Develop and implement all customer facing policies in accordance with business strategy
  • Accountable for timely and accurate implementation of transactional pricing
  • Supports revenue growth through customer focused needs identification and willingness to pay model
  • Performs all duties in accordance with safety rules and corporate policy and regulations.

  • Proven strategic and leadership capabilities
  • Thorough knowledge of Pricing strategy and best practices
  • Knowledge of leading pricing change management
  • Well-developed communicating and negotiating skills with internal/external customers.
  • Strong managerial/leadership skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of manufacturing/operation/logistics capabilities.
  • Sound computer, written and oral communications skills.
  • Excellent internal and external conflict resolution skills.
  • Outstanding Microsoft Excel skills
  • SAP, Power BI, or Tableau experience preferred

 

Experience:

  • 5-10 years related pricing/sales/marketing experience
  • Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business equivalent experience.
  • MBA preferred

Work Environment

  • Office environment
  • Travel 15-20%
