Job Purpose

Your mission is to help LP Building Solutions grow our business by leading a core portfolio of brands.  In this role, your focus will be to create marketing communication strategies, build campaigns and activate media programs to drive awareness and consideration of our Siding brands across customer and market segments. You will oversee such activities as advertising creative development, media buying/planning, PR management, trade show executions, and other vehicles for multiple products in the LP siding portfolio.

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop and direct creative campaigns for key product groups from planning to execution in market

  • Lead and implement the communications portion of the annual marketing plan including creative, media plans, trade shows, and other media vehicles. 

  • Build strong relationships with and direct the activities of the advertising agency, in house social and earned teams, and other strategic vendors to ensure quality communications and flawless execution, including adherence to the creative briefs, budgets, and timelines

  • Manage Siding branded partnerships, including sports marketing and community initiatives

  • Ensure consistency in branding and messaging across Siding brand communications

  • Evaluate media effectiveness by assessing reaction to in market communications and adjusting as insights suggest   

  • Develop strong relationships with business teams, strategic vendors, and cross-functionally to facilitate flawless execution. Be a strong, contributing member of assigned business teams.

  • May provide indirect leadership for up to 2 Marketing Communications Managers or other key marketing roles

  • Perform all duties in accordance with environmental and safety rules and regulations. 

  • Perform other duties as necessary. 

  • Moderate travel required

What do I need to be successful?

  • A track record of success in managing agency relationships to set and deliver agreed upon goals
  • Strategic management and hands-on execution of marketing strategy, creative briefing, and media planning

  • Understanding of marketing and branding strategies, terminology, and mediums, including media, the creative process, printing, fulfillment, tradeshows, sponsorships, and others

  • Solid leadership skills, including leading cross-functional teams and leading and developing team members and peers without direct authority

  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment and relate to all levels of employees, vendors, and the public

  • Strong ability to develop and implement plans while continuously monitoring results and implementing continuous improvement methodologies

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and a self-starter who can quickly assess business needs with a bias toward action

Experience

  • 6+ years of work experience in Marketing, preferably with advertising and/or media buying/planning experience

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Understanding of/passion for the building industry a plus

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Marketing or related field required  

  • MBA strongly preferred 

Work Environment

  • Office environment 

  • Travel: 30%
