Job Purpose

Under the guidance and direction of the Segment Marketing Manager or Channel Marketing Manager, support the businesses profit contribution, market share, and dollar volume, including market analysis; cross-functional coordination; program analysis and review; and other marketing tasks designed to grow the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for maintaining, updating and general distribution of marketing materials. Ensure strategic goals are met while incorporating market needs, legal/technical requirements and budget constraints. Oversee specialized marketing material usage.
  • Collect and quantify market data and analysis for sales/marketing initiatives
  • May be responsible for tracking and recording marketing budgets, may be responsible for processing payment requests
  • Serve as central project coordinator and ensures strong working relationship with sales, vendors, and strategic accounts.
  • Coordinate the execution of marketing events with outside agencies, including site selection, negotiation with vendors, budget tracking, and other arrangements. Prepare and report ROI results to management.
  • May provide communication between pricing manager, field sales, inside sales and customers. Analyze SPAs and BAPs actual vs. proposed results.
  • May publish marketing results for all appropriate forums, including QBR and Segment Strategy meetings
  • May coordinate Big Box resets, line review material and new product expansion. Provide analysis of current SKUs and display POP
  • Responsible for ongoing support of RSMs, National Account Managers, FMMs, field sales, business team and other key business drivers. May train assistants to provide backup support to the team.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to execute strategic initiatives
  • Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations
  • Perform other duties as necessary

Qualifications

Skills, knowledge, abilities:

  • Good analytical, quantitative and financial skills, excellent Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills
  • Ability to effectively manage and keep projects on track.
  • Basic knowledge of sales and marketing skills.
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of LP product lines and value propositions
  • Basic understanding of legal advertising language.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Ability to thrive in a self-directed environment.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Marketing or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years’ business, marketing, and/or sales management experience.
  • Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
