Job Purpose
Plan and implement internal corporate communications activities to enhance company’s corporate reputation with internal audiences.

In this position you will have the opportunity to:
- Build and execute detailed internal communications plans, including objectives, strategies, key messages, tactics and measurements that reinforce the company vision, strategy, and culture
- Drive strategy alignment and understanding throughout the organization through effective communications
- Develop and maintain a short- and long-term editorial calendar and project plans to support communication goals and priorities
- Write, edit and design all internal communications materials, including intranet articles, printed materials, company-wide emails, videos, presentations, virtual and in-person meetings, texts, and more
- Execute day-to-day management and coordination of the intranet—research, write and publish news, enforce brand standards, manage page headers and imagery, and serve as a project manager and content coordinator for all sections
- Execute day-to-day management and coordination of internal television network—update content and ensure monitors are properly working across locations and troubleshoot as needed
- Plan and execute virtual and in-person meetings and events
- Direct photo and video shoots
- Develop key messages, talking points and message briefings for key stakeholders
- Provide counsel to the organization on communications best practices, including how to galvanize employees to champion new initiatives, adopt new processes, work differently, or adjust to change
- Conduct research to determine communications best practices and to implement new or improve existing communications programs and/or activities
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal communications vendors and process invoices
- Partner with external communications to align message timing and direction
- Ensure consistency of messaging across the organization, adhering to brand guidelines and the corporate style
- Measure the success of your strategies, delivering insights to Corporate Communications on what constitutes effective internal communications
- Perform other duties as necessary
What do I need to be successful?
- 2 years communications and/or public relations experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Or any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills to ensure flawless execution of projects to accomplish objectives
- Knowledge of effective communication strategies, including print, digital, video, and events
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (e.g., InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat), Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel), AP Style, and skilled in website design, maintenance and content management
- Experience with using and designing content in SharePoint
- Highly organized with strong project management skills, including managing multiple projects at different stages simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship management, enabling work with multiple stakeholders, handle multiple projects, and meet new challenges with composure and confidence
- Ability to interact with and influence all levels of employees across the organization
- Ability to translate complex concepts, tools, and platforms into communications that resonates with employees
- Aptitude to protect sensitive and confidential information
- Good conflict resolution skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, Business or related field
Work Environment
- This position will work at home and in our Nashville office on a hybrid schedule
- Must be within a commutable distance to Nashville or willing to relocate to the greater Nashville area
- Occasional travel required
