Job Description: 

Job Purpose

This position will support our Marketing team as a Summer Intern from May 2026 – August 2026, and will be based in Nashville. This is a paid, full-time internship.

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

  • Support marketing activities for new product development and innovation projects, contributing ideas and assisting with execution.
  • Help collect and organize customer and market research data to uncover trends and insights.
  • Assist in the Stage-Gate product development process by preparing materials, tracking progress, and learning how new products move from concept to launch.
  • Provide support in planning and coordinating tasks for product commercialization efforts, such as organizing timelines and updating documents.
  • Help review and compile portfolio data to identify patterns and opportunities for improvement.
  • Create simple reports and presentations to summarize findings for team discussions.
  • Collaborate with team members on day-to-day tasks and gain exposure to marketing, innovation, and product development processes.
  • Learn about several facets of LP’s marketing team, including pricing, segment, innovation, and brand
  • Support the marketing team on 2026 strategy execution
  • Complete a capstone project in a specialized area of marketing and share the final deliverable with leadership
  • Receive coaching and mentorship from experienced marketing professionals
  • Gain exposure to the building materials and construction industries

What do I need to be successful?

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Familiarity with basic marketing concepts and principles
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Interpersonal and communication skills

Education

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program, preferably in marketing

Work Environment

  • This position will work at home and in our Nashville office on a hybrid schedule.
