Job Purpose

The IT Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring the company's information systems and IT infrastructure comply with relevant laws, regulations, internal policies, and standards. This individual will work cross-functionally to conduct assurance activities, identify compliance gaps, document, and track remediation efforts, assist IT teams in developing missing policies and procedures, provide compliance training, and report on compliance status.

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

  • Research and maintain current knowledge of IT industry standards including data privacy, cybersecurity, accessibility, records management etc.  Work with legal team as required to ensure policies are in alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT teams, business units, internal audit and legal counsel when needed, and to interpret requirements and develop compliance solutions.
  • Assess, identify and report gaps in existing information security and IT policies.  Support and guide the IT organization on both content required for new policies being created, and procedures for adherence to approved policies.   Monitor changes in regulatory landscape and update policies and the compliance program accordingly.
  • Develop and execute training programs to educate staff on policy requirements and IT compliance best practices.
  • Perform risk assessments and assurance activities to identify gap areas of compliance in existing systems, policies, procedures, and daily execution activities. Lead control testing to validate adherence and effectiveness.  Collaborate with IT team leaders to close assurance gaps and ensure day to day activities are aligned to policies for continued compliance.
  • Track and document all compliance activities, issues, and remediation efforts.  Maintain thorough documentation of identified compliance issues, corrective actions, and follow-ups. Compile reports for senior management on company's overall compliance posture
  • Research and evaluate IT compliance software tools, technologies, and services. Provide recommendations for integrations and licensing. 

What do I need to be successful?

  • 3+ years of experience in IT audit, compliance, or information security role
  • Or any equivalent combination of experience and education that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
  • Knowledge of IT policy and compliance best practices
  • Hands-on experience with conducting IT Assurance activities and risk assessment
  • Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into actionable procedures and policies

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.

Work Environment

  • This position will work at home and in our Nashville office on a hybrid schedule
  • Must be within a commutable distance to Nashville or willing to relocate to the greater Nashville area
