JOB PURPOSE:
To provide leadership in the Siding Business to support capacity growth and production through strategic capital projects and plant reliability programs. Lead the development and execution of large capital projects and manufacturing excellence through plant reliability programs. Work collaboratively with Siding and corporate functions on key pillars of the business strategy.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Provide leadership, vision, teamwork, and communication to execute key Siding capital growth projects.
•Lead and coordinate external engineering and equipment supply firms as required for the safe, cost effective, and on-timeexecution of large capital projects. Build a direct and indirect internal team to achieve goals.
•Work closely with the Siding BEM and other key stakeholders to ensure projects have the required engineering standards,guidance, and SME support.
•Develop and manage project budget and manage performance against it.
•Supervise and manage assigned staff; recruit, train, coach and evaluate performance.
•Work closely with Siding and OSB business teams to develop and maintain near and midterm (3year) capital investment portfolioroll-up. Participate in analysis to support effective capital investment in sustaining maintenance and strategic projects.
•Responsible for providing leadership, coaching and resources to continually develop engineering personnel.
•Identify key training skills, development and individual personnel objectives to enhance personnel value and return to both theCompany and business.
•Lead the Siding Business Reliability group. Professionally and systematically define, design, develop, monitor and refine AssetMaintenance Plans that includes value-added preventive maintenance tasks and effective utilization of predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems.
•Work with operations leadership to develop programs for key areas of reliability, solutions to repetitive failures and all otherproblems that adversely affect plant operations.
•Responsible for personnel growth and development.
•Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
•Perform other duties as necessary.

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• Masters degree in related field preferred.

Experience:
• Minimum 10-15 years’ engineering and management experience with in-depth skill set in both areas.
• Strong track record of successfully leading capital project planning and execution and operational maintenance improvement.
• Proven/demonstrated ability to provide leadership and clarity to personnel and organizations both internally and externally. Experience in leading teams is desired.
• Progressive responsibilities dealing with large organizations (multi-location, multi-function), experiencing complex and rapid changes.
