Job Purpose
LP Building Solutions is seeking a dynamic, strategic and data-driven Director of Brand & Segment Marketing to set vision and lead the development and execution of brand architecture, positioning, and segment growth strategies across our Building Solutions portfolio. This highly visible leadership role will be instrumental in shaping the future of our brand identities, driving awareness and familiarity among key audiences, and establishing a purpose-driven platform aligned with LP’s core values.
The Director will also collaborate with key internal and external partners to effectively conceive, plan and enable persona-based journey maps and evolve marketing communications in a way that supports a seamless path to purchase and builds strong brand advocacy, working in tight collaboration with the Marketing Performance & Operations and Product Management teams. The Director will partner cross-functionally to drive brand awareness, affinity and overall brand equity. The ideal candidate will ensure strong cross-team collaboration and drive thought leadership, develop engagement, and elevate the demand for LP’s products across all segments and markets.

Key Responsibilities
- Brand Strategy & Architecture
- Lead the development of cohesive brand architecture and positioning strategy across LP Building Solutions, LP SmartSide, LP Builder Series, LP Expert Finish and other OBS Structural product brands.
 - Define and evolve brand identities and activation strategies at national, regional, and local levels.
 - Champion a purpose-driven brand platform that reflects LP’s mission, values, and long-term growth objectives.
 
 - Segment Strategy & Insights
- Develop and drive the segment growth strategies and inform innovation priorities based on market research, competitive analysis, and customer & consumer insights.
 - Identify and prioritize high-potential homeowner and contractor segments within the addressable market to drive outsized returns in the repair & remodel and offsite segments.
 - Translate insights into actionable marketing strategies and plans that drive engagement and conversion in prioritized markets.
 
 - Marketing Communications
- Lead integrated communications strategy to build brand familiarity and preference among homeowners, contractors, and builders.
 - Collaborate with internal and external partners to design compelling creative, messaging and campaigns focused on brand building and solution offerings that differentiate and win the value equation.
 - Ensure consistency and clarity across all touchpoints from digital to in-person experiences.
 - Provide marketing support on corporate programs, projects and strategic developments.
 
 - Data-Driven Leadership
- Utilize various forms of market, customer, and competitive data to augment current capabilities and deepen understanding of end-customer motivations and behaviors to further shape the brand and customer experience.
 - Establish KPIs and measurement frameworks to evaluate brand health, awareness, and perception.
 - Drive a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement using quantitative and qualitative data and research practices.
 - Partner with analytics, sales, and product teams to align brand strategy with business outcomes and valuation growth.
 
 
What do I need to be successful?
- 15+ years of experience in brand strategy, segment marketing, or related fields.
 - Proven track record of leading high-impact brand initiatives in B2C, B2BC and B2B environments.
 - Strong analytical skills with experience in market research, segmentation, and performance measurement.
 - Exceptional communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
 - Experience in building purpose-driven brands that resonate with diverse audiences.
 - Experience developing marketing strategies based on market segmentation
 - Demonstrated experience implementing and adhering to marketing KPI and ROI guidelines, including expert understanding of marketing metrics, consumer insights, market research, trends analysis, etc.
 - Proven experience driving marketing and brand innovation, as well as passion for consumer engagement, through emerging methodologies and technology.
 - Advanced analytical skills: ability to interpret and translate consumer data into actionable insights and strategies.
 - Ability to effectively communicate within all levels of the organization.
 
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
 
Work Environment
- Office environment, Hybrid
 - Significant travel to customer locations required.
 - Must react to short lead customer requests, including weekends.
