Job Purpose

As a Business Intelligence (BI) Reporting Analyst, you'll work on our Business Intelligence team within the Financial Planning & Analytics (FP&A) organization. You’ll be responsible for developing new BI services offerings and content creation for LP, and consulting with internal clients on business needs, translating business needs into reporting requirements, and interfacing with business clients to ensure successful delivery of reporting. You'll collaborate with our business partners to develop detailed designs, functional and technical specifications for business solutions and work with the team to develop standard and custom BI reporting solutions of moderate to high complexity. You'll gain exposure to corporate-wide scenarios that require good communication skills and the ability to effectively multi-task. In addition, you'll be involved in training business users using an integrated SAP BI solution leveraging all of LP’s business applications.

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

  • Collaborate with internal and external customers to design, develop, maintain, and manage advanced reporting packages in Power BI and Tableau, fed by data from Snowflake and other data sources.
  • Manage projects with business users and/or IT staff, including scoping and gathering detailed requirements, conducting analysis, coordinating work across business functions, and developing BI solutions and deliverables, for moderately to highly complex projects, to allow users to make business decisions
  • Extract data and information from various internal sources to build data visualizations in BI software, such as Power BI and Tableau
  • Drive the design and implementation of data literacy programs to support business users’ ability to read, write, and communicate with data, including the use of BI applications
  • Work directly with internal customers to develop and drive more efficient processes and to use data to make business decisions
  • Assist and provide information to users, FP&A staff, and general management on issues such as planning, scheduling, and using reporting systems and capabilities
  • Work in dynamic environment with a strong focus on achieving team goals and business objectives
  • Maintain system and application documentation for assigned systems and/or project
  • Perform and document data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design
  • Run queries and reports to extract data for various analysis purposes
  • Work with FP&A staff, IT Data engineering, and internal customers to identify and correct problem conditions, including QA testing
  • Troubleshoot BI system production issues and develop effective solutions
  • Develop and document test plans, new procedures, training, implementation, and troubleshooting of BI reporting applications
  • Assist in project management tasks to implement new BI applications or functionality
  • Interface with vendors and internal customers as appropriate
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with all audit and SOX initiatives
  • Perform daily maintenance of user security requests to the BI applications, as needed
  • Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations
  • Perform other duties as necessary

What do I need to be successful?

  • 4 to 6 years demonstrated reporting analyst experience
  • Strong knowledge and experience of industry reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Excel
  • Experience and working knowledge of database technologies, such as Databricks or Snowflake
  • Working knowledge of SQL, including the ability to read and write simple queries to manipulate data as needed
  • Strong project management, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to self-motivate and work within a team
  • Ability to learn and apply new technologies
  • Ability to work cooperatively with all levels of LP staff
  • Working knowledge of SAP ECC a plus

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

Work Environment

  • This position will work at home and in our Nashville office on a hybrid schedule
  • Must live within a commutable distance to Nashville or willing to relocate to the greater Nashville area
