Job Purpose

 

To provide advanced functional and business-level solutions and support for installing, maintaining and troubleshooting software applications and related interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

 

The Salesforce Administrator will support the SalesForce application as part of the IT Center of Excellence (CoE) for the benefit of the Sales, Marketing and Customer Service business areas.  They will assist business and/or functional leadership teams in implementing strategic and/or tactical  improvements to business processes. 

 

The successful candidate will have 2 or more years performing a SalesForce Admin role for a user base of at least 250+ or more.  They will have strong knowledge on one or more business process areas in SalesForce and will work closely with the Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and Supply Chain business users to understand business problems, issues, and priorities. They will work collaboratively with both internal team members and other stakeholders to provide quality services and solutions for our business customers.  As a member of the team, they will be responsible for affecting change within the SalesForce platform while adhering to best practices for Governance and Change Management.   They will work closely with the IT Solution Architects when designing new solutions and will represent business needs throughout the lifecycle of projects. They may take guidance and direction from the Architects and other Sr. members of the team when determining solution design, priorities, and expected outcomes.

Qualifications

 

The successful candidate will have the skills/experience as outlined and will be able to competently perform the duties noted below:

 

  • Salesforce Administrator certification
  • At least 2+ years of experience as a Salesforce Admin
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce security structure (Org, Object, Record, Field Level Security) 
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data access model (Sharing Rules, Role Hierarchy, Organization Wide Defaults)
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce automation tools (Quick Action, Workflow Rules, Approval Process, Flow, Process Builder)
  • Experience with sandbox creation, refreshes and change sets
  • Ability to know and recognize configuration limits and leverage code (APEX, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components) or app exchange solutions - they don't need to know code, just know when we need a developer
  • Experience creating reports, dashboards, and custom report types
  • Experience using data management tools such as data loader, workbench, validation rules. Experience using OnDemand tools a plus.
  • Experience with Sales Cloud and Experience Cloud (formerly Communities)
  • Basic understanding of Pardot or other marketing automation tools
  • Basic understanding of Salesforce APIs, Connected Apps and Integrations (e.g. DocuSign)
