Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accounts Payable Analyst. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices payments and reconciling statements. In this position you will have the opportunity to:

  • Perform daily accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and statement reconciliation, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies.
  • Review and validate purchase orders, invoices, and vendor statements to support accurate and timely payment processing.
  • Investigate and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies by collaborating with procurement, receiving teams, and vendors.
  • Provide troubleshooting and support for assigned vendors, addressing issues promptly and professionally.
  • Develop and maintain positive, professional relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders to support smooth operations.
  • Analyze accounts payable data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities, delivering insights to management.
  • Collaborate with AP team members and cross-functional partners to enhance workflows, share knowledge, and improve financial controls.
  • Provide backup support to team members and assist with audit and other management requests as needed.
  • Maintain and update internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to assigned AP processes.
  • Utilize accounting software for transaction processing and data analysis.

What do I need to be successful?

  • 0–2 years of relevant accounts payable or accounting experience.
  • Or any combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
  • General understanding of accounts payable principles and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and a customer service mindset.
  • Self-starter with good teamwork skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with accounting software (Ariba, SAP) is a plus.
  • Expert knowledge of business concepts and applications in assigned business area.
  • Proven ability to operate a computer and supporting software.
  • Excellent written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills.

Education

  • High school diploma required.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.

Work Environment

  • This position will work at home and in our Nashville office on a hybrid schedule
  • Must live within a commutable distance to Nashville or willing to relocate to the greater Nashville area
