Job Purpose

To coordinate activities of storeroom for the facilitation of outgoing and incoming goods and services.

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

  • Conduct storeroom activities including: Stocking/receiving/verifying parts & materials, tagging, stock shelves, delivery of parts, general housekeeping
  • Entering information accurately into SAP/Ariba Computer system; track and trouble shoot receipts and invoices in SAP/ARIBA, ensure timely payments of vendors
  • Work with AP/GBS and COE to ensure seamless procurement to payment
  • Escalate issues to the appropriate areas (supervisor, GBS, AP)
  • Tracking, uploading and scanning parts to computer system
  • Weekly, monthly and annual inventory counts of storeroom stock and raw materials
  • Working knowledge of BOMS, raw material inventory, vendors and production schedule to ensure an ability act as site Materials Manager as needed.
  • Prepare documentation for items out for repairs/returns, including cross border import/export paperwork.
  • Establish and maintain communications with vendors
  • Perform and assist with Cycle/Physical Counts of inventory
  • Interface with local Mill Management to identify critical spares
  • Disperse and track Mill Maintenance Repairs
  • Assist Materials Manager with raw material inventory management
  • Analyze inventory usage to optimize min/max levels and reorder points
  • Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations
  • Perform other duties as necessary

What do I need to be successful?

Skills, knowledge, abilities:

  • Computer skills and ability to adapt to changing software is mandatory
  • Microsoft Word/Excel experience preferred
  • Working knowledge with the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) computer software and SAP/ARIBA or the ability to learn
  • Knowledge of parts and materials preferred
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Good decision making, organizational and team building skills
  • Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner

 

Experience:

  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in storeroom or equivalent experience is an asset
  • Or any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Work Environment

  • Primarily office work within a plant environment
