Job Description: 

Job Purpose

The mechanical student takes part in the preventive maintenance, repair, and optimization of mechanical equipment used in industrial environments. He also contributes to the proper operation of machines to ensure production continuity, operational safety, and equipment performance.

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

  • Installation and commissioning of industrial machinery
  • Preventive and corrective maintenance 
  • Safety and compliance

  • Autonomy and sense of responsibility
  • Effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Analytical thinking and problem solving
  • Rigor and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic welding
  • Ability to use mechanical instruments relevant to tasks
  • Ability to read mechanical plans and technical diagrams

 

Required Qualifications (in progress) 
  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in industrial mechanics, electromechanics, or a related field
  • an assetHealth and safety certifications (lockout/tagout, working at heights, etc.) – an asset
