Job Purpose

To manage supply chain and order fulfillment planning and execution activities on site at the manufacturing facility. This will require effective collaboration and communication with site operation, corporate supply chain, fulfillment, and logistics. To support corporate business objectives by ensuring compliance with all standards, policies and regulations for a safe and environmentally compliant operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the execution of the order fulfillment process to achieve customer service level requirements and order fulfillment process KPIs.
  • Maintain, in conjunction with corporate data governance policies, the master data associated with the mill concerning BOM’s, Routings, Production Versions, and Material Masters.
  • Address and correct issues that arise during the confirmation process at the mill and verifying that the overall inventory levels are correct at the mill.
  • Enter new production orders and communicate scheduling information and anticipated delivery dates to sales, customers and internal departments.
  • Adjust production schedules to accommodate changes to customer orders and/or changes in production capacity.
  • Work with Production Superintendent to assure adequate production capacity and company resources to fulfill production orders.
  • Collaborate with corporate supply chain planning to develop and maintain a detailed production plan in order to meet demand and inventory requirements.
  • Effectively collaborate and communicate with key stakeholders within operations to drive the execution of the production plan
  • Define and manage inventory levels, processes and accuracy in line with business requirements
  • Collaborate with procurement to manage raw material requirements and inventory levels to support production requirements.
  • Understand how LP supply chain planning tools and processes are utilized to achieve business objectives
  • Drive the adoption and use of the supply chain planning systems for all applicable business planning activities
  • Drives specific process improvement, cost reduction and continuous improvement projects as directed.
  • Respond to requests from key internal stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Ability to adapt work priorities to changing needs; develop and execute strategies.
  • Be responsible for supervising, training, performance management preparation and communication of work schedules, and daily work assignments.  Includes duties from staff and self-development, coaching, counseling on performance feedback, up to initiating and assisting with corrective action.
  • Assist and participate with hiring, interviewing, selection and orientation process.
  • Prepare detailed reports and maintain records and documentation according to guidelines in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide required information to the master data management team in order to accurately maintain master data on behalf of the plant. This should be performed in conjunction with corporate data governance policies.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years manufacturing experience required; experience related to production planning, material replenishment, or inventory management preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain planning concepts, processes, and systems
  • 2+ years supervisory/management experience.
  • Ability to motivate, coach, lead and train direct reports through daily job assignments, team meetings, etc.
  • Knowledge of product line manufacturing process.
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to apply basic math skills to calculate production requirements.

Education

  • Associate Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
  • Or a combination of education and experience would be considered.

Work Environment

  • Office environment in a manufacturing plant.
