Job Purpose
To maintain clean, sanitary, safe, and orderly facility areas.
In this position you will have the opportunity to:
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, toilets, sinks, mirrors, floors, and fixtures.
- Clean and maintain employee break rooms, tables, countertops, refrigerators, microwaves, and other common areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors throughout assigned areas.
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed.
- Restock toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, and other janitorial supplies.
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces including door handles, tables, counters, and other frequently used areas.
- Clean windows, doors, walls, and other facility surfaces as assigned.
- Perform routine and deep-cleaning duties according to established schedules.
- Safely use cleaning chemicals, tools, and janitorial equipment in accordance with instructions.
- Identify and report spills, leaks, maintenance issues, damaged fixtures, and other safety concerns.
- Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment in a clean, organized, and ready-to-use condition.
- Work independently and complete assigned duties efficiently and thoroughly.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
- Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.

- Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and janitorial equipment.

- Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations.
Education:
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
• Previous janitorial, housekeeping, custodial, or industrial cleaning experience preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
Work Environment
• Plant environment.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting.
• May require working around employees, equipment, cleaning chemicals, and active production areas.
