Job Purpose

LP is establishing a dedicated IT sourcing and procurement capability to support a growing and increasingly complex technology environment (SaaS, cloud, professional services, and emerging AI-enabled solutions). The IT Sourcing & Procurement Manager is responsible for standing up and maturing the IT sourcing and procurement function, establishing core processes, governance, and frameworks to support the organization. This role leads the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle—from stakeholder engagement and strategy through sourcing execution, negotiation, contracting, and contract lifecycle management—while enabling IT leaders to effectively manage vendor performance through standardized frameworks. The position sits within IT Shared Services and owns IT sourcing strategy and execution, with accountability for the vendor selection process, negotiations, and contract outcomes. The role will partner with Corporate Procurement as needed, particularly in areas of overlap, to ensure alignment with enterprise policies and processes.The role acts as both a strategic advisor and functional owner, ensuring sourcing decisions align with business priorities and balance cost, risk, and outcomes.

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

  • Function Build & Maturity
    • Establish and evolve the IT sourcing and procurement function, including processes, governance, and operating model
    • Implement standardized intake, prioritization, and execution approaches
    • Define and drive adoption of scalable frameworks to improve visibility, consistency, and execution
    • Own prioritization and sequencing of sourcing and procurement activities aligned with IT and business priorities
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Strategy
    • Partner with IT and business leaders to define requirements and priorities
    • Translate business needs into sourcing strategies and execution plans
    • Act as a strategic advisor on vendor selection, sourcing approach, and commercial decisions
    • Drive early engagement to influence vendor selection, scope definition, and deal structure
  • Sourcing Execution
    • Lead sourcing activities, including vendor evaluation, due diligence, and RFI/RFP processes
    • Execute sourcing across SaaS, cloud, and IT services
    • Coordinate cross-functional inputs (Legal, Security, Finance, Architecture)
    • Ensure disciplined execution while maintaining agility and responsiveness
  • Negotiation & Contracting
    • Lead supplier negotiations, including pricing, commercial terms, and contract structures
    • Develop and execute negotiation strategies aligned with business objectives
    • Negotiate SaaS, cloud, and IT services agreements, including subscription and consumption-based models
    • Partner with Legal to align contract terms with business intent and risk requirements
  • Contract Lifecycle & Renewals
    • Manage contracts from execution through renewal or termination
    • Lead renewal strategy and negotiations across the IT vendor portfolio to optimize cost, terms, and performance
    • Maintain visibility into contract obligations, timelines, and risks
  • Vendor Management Enablement (Framework)
    • Establish frameworks and expectations for IT leaders to manage vendor performance
    • Define mechanisms to track vendor deliverables, obligations, and outcomes
    • Provide guidance to ensure consistent vendor oversight without owning day-to-day vendor management
  • Governance & Risk
    • Ensure appropriate due diligence and risk evaluation across sourcing activities
    • Establish guardrails balancing speed, compliance, and risk
    • Maintain governance over sourcing decisions and procurement processes
  • Process Enablement & Tools
    • Leverage ServiceNow (or similar platforms) to manage intake, workflow execution, and contract lifecycle tracking
    • Improve visibility into sourcing pipeline, contract status, and vendor commitments
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

What do I need to be successful?

  • 5+ years in IT sourcing, procurement, or vendor management required
  • Prior leadership experience preferred
  • Experience building, scaling, or maturing a sourcing and procurement function
  • Proven experience negotiating IT contracts, including SaaS and cloud agreements
  • Experience working with major cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure)
  • Strong understanding of legal and commercial contract terms (e.g., liability, indemnity, risk allocation)
  • Ability to translate stakeholder needs into sourcing strategies and execution
  • Experience working cross-functionally with IT, Procurement, Legal, and Finance
  • Experience using ServiceNow (or similar) to manage sourcing workflows and contract lifecycle
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or equivalent experience required

Work Environment

  • This position will work at home and in our Nashville office on a hybrid schedule
  • Must live within a commutable distance to Nashville or willing to relocate to the greater Nashville area
