Job Purpose

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

• Consistently demonstrate safety as the highest priority and perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
• Schedule, plan and perform complex preventative and predictive maintenance functions.
• Schedule, plan and perform complex equipment repairs.
• Perform general fabrication and basic machinist work.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, power transmission, and other mechanical problems as necessary.
• Participate in additional training opportunities
• Obtain Crane Operator certification (facilitated in-house)
• Obtain 3G welding certifications (facilitated in-house)
• Take elective cross training.
• Communicate with Lead Millwright, Maintenance Supervisor, Site Supply Department and venders for parts and supplies.
• Communicate with operators about maintenance items (handoff meeting, work orders, etc.)
• Assure adequate spare parts and components exits for repair.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Shift Supervisor, Maintenance Supervisor and Plant Superintendent.
• Responsible for understanding and adhering to all environmental policies and procedures including spill response, general waste disposal and hazardous material handling procedures.

• Expert knowledge of maintenance equipment and tools.
• Expert knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance functions.
• Expert troubleshooting skills.

• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of work order systems (EAM or equivalent) or ability to learn.
• Team player who develops rapport with others, has good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Ability to be on call over weekends 3-4 times per year.
• Basic computer skills and Microsoft programs.
• Perform basic machining work.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and written repair manuals.
• Knowledge of pollution control equipment repairs (RTOs/RCOs/ESPs, etc.)

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5 years industrial machine maintenance work experience.
• Knowledge of building structure repairs and machine fabrication.
• Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
