Job Purpose

To perform preventative maintenance functions in an OSB manufacturing facility

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

Perform routine preventative maintenance functions.
Perform complex equipment repairs.
Perform general fabrication and machinist work
Troubleshoot problems as necessary
To learn and train on maintenance functions.
Perform other duties as necessary.
Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.

What do I need to be successful?

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Expert knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance functions.
Expert knowledge of maintenance equipment and tools.
Strong time management, organization and prioritizing skills.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and written repair manuals.
Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations.
Must possess a valid driver's license
Ability to bend, lift, stoop, and pull
Ability to work at heights and climb stairs and ladders
Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs

Experience:

3 – 5 years’ general maintenance experience required. Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required. 2 years of technical training in general maintenance preferred.

Work Environment

Plant Environment with exposure to heat, cold, sawdust, and other inclement conditions.

Must be able to work Monday through Friday, 6am - 4pm; must be able to work over scheduled shift as needed for necessary repairs/maintenance issues.
Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Initial schedule will be dayshift, but will go to plant shift schedule (4 on/4 off straight shift rotation - does not swing days to nights) as needed to cover shift or advance in department.
