Job Purpose
To operate a piece of mobile equipment with repetitive functions on the tongue and groove line in an OSB manufacturing facility.
In this position you will have the opportunity to:
- Complete operational checklist for forklift
- Keep the T&G machine supplied with product and packaging materials and removing finished product from outfeed area
- Keep the T&G area cleaned and units organized and put in the warehouse.
- Organize warehouse stacking lanes
- Assist with cleaning the T&G paintbooth
- Assist with the operation of T&G equipment including quality checks
- Organize downgrade crossouts and empty waste dumpster
- Assist all other forklift operators and strappers as needed directed by supervisor or lead man
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks
- Works on Re-Grading product
- Perform other duties as necessary.
- Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
What do I need to be successful?
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of simple equipment operation.
- Knowledge of general equipment maintenance.
- Time management skills.
- Demonstrated mechanical ability.
- Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations.
Education:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Experience:
- 3 – 6 months experience.
- Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
