Job Description: 

Job Purpose

To assist in the operation of the T&G line in an OSB manufacturing facility

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

  • Complete packaging units processed through T&G equipment
  • Complete re-grade work on product
  • Clean T&G paint booth
  • Complete Quality checks every hour
  • Assist the T&G Operator with 20 panel.
  • Maintain and clean paint booth guns and tree arm
  • Keep the T&G blown out and swept up.
  • Keep the catwalk at the strapper cleaned.
  • Maintain the printer machines and keep them cleaned
  • Write all unit tags produced and turn in to supervisor
  • Manage the unused tags
  • Help the T&G operator and forklift operator if needed directed by supervisor or lead man
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations

What do I need to be successful?

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Time management skills.
  • Knowledge of line position duties and functions.
  • Knowledge of general plant clean-up and utility functions.
  • Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations.

 

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

  • No experience required.
  • Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.

Work Environment

Plant environment with exposure to sawdust, chemicals, extreme temperatures (hot and cold) and other inclement conditions.
