Job Description: 

Job Purpose

To operate equipment with repetitive functions in the process of applying tongue and groove to sanded OSB product.

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

  • Complete the Operation of the T&G process
  • Complete required Quality checks
  • Clean and Maintain Rea-Jet –APA marking system
  • Complete 20-panel (1 per shift per product)
  • Check and maintain metal detect system
  • Complete fit test throughout the production shift
  • Tape measure verification
  • Assist with maintenance on machine
  • Assist T&G strapper and forklift per direction from supervisor
  • Clean T&G work area
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.

 

What do I need to be successful?

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of simple equipment operation.
  • Knowledge of general equipment maintenance.
  • Time management skills.
  • Demonstrated mechanical ability.
  • Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations.

 

Education:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

Experience:

  • 6-12 months experience in equipment operation preferred. 
  • Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.

 

Work Environment

Plant environment with exposure to sawdust, chemicals, extreme temperatures and other inclement conditions.
