Job Description:
Job Purpose
To operate complex equipment in the pressing process of an OSB manufacturing facility.
In this position you will have the opportunity to:
- Operate press and secondary equipment to produce products following quality specifications and environmental guidelines.
- Organize and Communicate process upsets and downgraded material
- Complete reports associated with the pressing process and production (RCO #3 hourly temperatures, hourly cull count, and AFX downtime events)
- Communicate downtime events
- Clean and maintain equipment
- Assist in maintaining equipment
- Perform other duties as necessary.
- Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
What do I need to be successful?
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of complex equipment operation.
- Knowledge of general equipment maintenance.
- Time management skills.
- Demonstrated mechanical ability.
- Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations.
Education:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Experience:
- 1 – 2 years’ experience in equipment operation.
- Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
Work Environment
Plant environment with exposure to sawdust, chemicals, extreme temperatures, and other inclement conditions.
