Job Description: 

Job Purpose

To operate a forklift on the mainline in an OSB manufacturing facility, moving finished product to the warehouse

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

  • Organize and manage finished product from mainline production
  • Organize product stored in warehouse
  • Facilitate the process of re-graded product exiting the mainline
  • Complete forklift inspection checklist
  • Maintain supplies for mainline strapper (cross-outs , strap, Techshield bags and paint)
  • Assist with mill forklift needs
  • Inventory and communicate downgraded material to sawline operator
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.

 

What do I need to be successful?

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of simple equipment operation.
  • Knowledge of general equipment maintenance.
  • Time management skills.
  • Demonstrated mechanical ability.
  • Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license

 

Education:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

Experience:

  • 1 to 2 years' experience in mobile equipment operation preferred
  • Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.

 

Work Environment

Plant environment with exposure to saw dust, chemicals, extreme temperatures, and other inclement conditions.
