Job Description: 

Job Purpose

To transport material to/from production line, warehouse, or to load/unload trucks using motorized lift equipment.

 

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

  • Using motorized lift equipment, transports materials to designated areas
  • Safely feed units to feed rolls of Sawline, Sander, and T&G area
  • Place units in warehouse, per Packaging Appearance Standards (PAS)
  • Monitors units for defects; removes defective boards, per PAS
  • Inspects forklift daily and completes report form
  • Assist with Down Day activities such as cleaning paint booth and fire watch
  • May load/unload trucks, remove and install units on infeed and outfeed rolls to paint booth
  • May move paint totes to storage, refill storage tanks
  • Expected to maintain 100% compliance with all Environmental, housekeeping standards and policies for area
  • Expected to keep re-work/non-conforming area in good, organized order at all times
  • Expected to train in Operator role in area of work and adhere to PAS at all times
  • Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations and additional duties and responsibilities as needed

 

What do I need to be successful?

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations
  • Good hand/eye coordination
  • Forklift certified
  • Ability to drive looking backward, operate automatic and manual strapping machines

 

Education:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

Experience:

  • 3 – 6 months experience.
  • Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
