Job Purpose

A forest mechanic plays a crucial role in the maintenance and repair of equipment used in forestry activities.

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintenance and repair of forest equipment.
• Perfom preventive maintenance on equipment
• Diagnosis of breakdowns.
• Preparation of equipment.
• Monitoring the condition of machines.
• Management of spare parts inventory.
• Collaboration with forest team

What do I need to be successful?

• Must be physically fit and able to carry up to 50 lbs, negotiate stairs while carrying heavy items and work in an environment which may be hot or cold at times.
• Must be able to completely run as an Operator on own, with little to no supervision.
• Ability to use computer and supporting software
• 1+ years’ industry experience 
• Or any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position 

• Doit être en bonne condition physique et capable de porter jusqu'à 50 lbs, monter des escaliers en portant des objets lourds et travailler dans un environnement qui peut être chaud ou froid par moments.
