Job Purpose

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

1. Monitor panel weights to ensure quality product.
2. Complete all quality test and set-up procedures.
3. Fill chain troughs with fresh water prior to start up and before each run.
4. Verify panel gap at coater is set correctly
5. Inspect slurry coater daily, noting any deficiencies.
6. Clean sensors.
7. Monitor gapping conveyor.
8. Adjust fiberglass choppers to ensure proper glass coverage.
9. Monitor coat thickness with wet film gauge.
10. Remove change and/or clean spray tips
11. Pressure wash conveyors and floor underneath.
12. Pressure slurry coater cabinet and pans.
13. Flush slurry transfer pump.
14. Responsible for the system clean up, spray down process during the day and end of day clean up.
15. Assist on fiberglass changes.
16. Use radio to maintain communication with operators, maintenance, and supervisor.
17. Logs downtime and notes causes.
18. Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
19. Perform all other duties as assigned in accordance with safety rules and regulations.

What do I need to be successful?

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of simple equipment operation.
• Knowledge of general equipment maintenance.
• Time management skills.
• Demonstrated mechanical ability.
• Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations.

Education:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

Experience:

• 3 – 6 months experience.
• Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
