JOB PURPOSE

Work within the regional sales team(s) in the execution of strategic goals requiring new construction installer accounts; Grow and leverage a base of key installer accounts that strengthen the sales process, achieve sales and marketing strategies, and budgeted revenue; Engage and interact with Field Sales, Marketing, and G&I to win Installer, Builder and Contractor Accounts through the value of our products and construction technologies in multiple market segments.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Achieve annual revenue growth target for the region(s)

· Lead direct reports and develop talent for future career growth

· Ensure strong, productive relationships and complete integration with Field Sales to ensure that individual performance goals are tied to regional/market sales goals

· Participate in alignment with, and execution of, strategic sales goals for designated regions/markets through technical services to customers, builders, contractors, distributors, dealers, specifiers and third party officials

· Raise the level of overall installation quality and brand reputation by developing and delivering value-added training to new and existing customers, builders, and municipalities; ensure that all training assets provide uniform technical messages regarding the LP product portfolio

· Ensure that local and regional product certifications are maintained and approvals for new certifications are developed as required

· Ensure that LP siding products and associated systems meet local needs in critical markets

· Lead the development/updating of new/current training management systems for customers, builders, contractors, distributors, dealers, specifiers and third-party officials

· Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and outside sources to market LP products and services to channel partners, builders and contractors

· Ensure that all training of new and existing customers on proper product use, installation and maintenance meets the LP standard

· Lead the training effort of LP team members in order to ensure competence and confidence in the proper installation of LP siding products

· Design, engineer and approve, in collaboration with Field Sale and Siding G&I, product applications for evolving wall assemblies popular in the market

· Represent LP professionally in the field and provide intelligence on current and future competitive realizations.

· Perform all duties in accordance with safety policies and procedures

· Perform other duties as required

 

QUALIFICATIONS: SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY

· Bilingual required: English + French

· Leadership qualities that drive a positive growth culture through learning and adaptation

· Excellent understanding of best construction practices and common construction practices.

· Demonstrated competence in building envelop construction and building sciences.

· Knowledge of building codes and the organizations that govern them.

· Competence in quality management processes and six sigma tools

· Demonstrated knowledge of the composite manufacturing process.

· Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to influence others.

· Well-developed interpersonal skills and diplomacy

· Strong written and oral communication skills

· Ability to operate effectively within multidiscipline team.

· Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.

· Ability to effectively utilize a computer and supporting software.

 

EDUCATION

· Education/degree in building science, basic sciences, architecture or related fields, or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates capability.

· Adequate combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities.

 

EXPERIENCE

· 5 years of experience in construction, building science, or building products industry.

· Experience in wood composites industry is desirable.

· Or any equivalent combination of experience and education that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

· Home office with frequent overnight travel required to meet with specifiers, code officials, builders, contractors, customers.
