Position Summary 

 

The Director of National Repair & Remodel and Private Equity Sales is responsible for developing and executing the national strategy to drive growth, market share, and profitability within the R&R segment. This leader owns key channel relationships, contractor engagement, and programmatic initiatives that accelerate demand across contractors and remodelers. 

 

This role sits at the intersection of sales, marketing, and channel strategy, translating market insights into scalable growth programs and working alongside a high-performing team.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

1. National R&R Strategy & Growth

 

  • Execute a multi-year growth strategy for the Repair & Remodel & Private Equity Owned contractor segment
  • Identify and prioritize high-value customer segments (contractors, remodelers, national accounts)
  • Drive volume, revenue, and share gains across all regions

 

2. Contractor & Channel Leadership 

 

  • Build and expand relationships with top-tier contractors, remodelers, and installers
  • Oversee national contractor programs (certification, loyalty, training)
  • Partner with National Account & Field Sales team to ensure pull-through demand and product adoption

 

3. Marketing & Demand Generation 

 

  • Partner with marketing to design contractor-focused campaigns
  • Influence product positioning, pricing strategy, and promotions for the R&R segment
  • Champion digital tools and lead-generation platforms that support contractors

 

4. Strategic Partnerships & Programs 

 

  • Develop partnerships with national remodeling firms, home improvement networks, and buying groups
  • Launch scalable programs that increase contractor loyalty and lifetime value
  • Identify M&A or partnership opportunities within the R&R ecosystem

 

5. Market Intelligence & Innovation 

 

  • Monitor trends in residential repair and remodeling
  • Translate insights into new product opportunities, service offerings, or business models
  • Act as the voice of the contractor within the organization

 

Qualifications 

 

Required

 

  • 15+ years of experience in building materials, construction, or adjacent industries
  • Director level experience (5+ years required)
  • Proven success leading national or multi-region sales teams
  • Deep understanding of contractor channels and distribution networks
  • Strong commercial acumen (pricing, margin management, forecasting)
  • Experience in siding, trim or exterior building products

 

Preferred

 

  • Track record of building contractor programs or loyalty platforms
  • MBA or advanced business degree
