Job Purpose
The HR Generalist plays a key role in the daily management of human resources activities, responding to a wide range of organizational needs. This versatile position ensures the implementation, administration, and monitoring of HR policies, procedures, and programs at both the plant and corporate levels of Louisiana-Pacific.
In this position you will have the opportunity to:
- Contribute to daily HR operations, including the administrative management of employee records.
- Provide backup for the administrative assistant, including payroll processing.
- Actively participate in the recruitment process and onboarding of new employees.
- Provide HR advisory services to employees and managers, offering guidance and support.
- Ensure the application and compliance of HR policies and procedures.
- Act as a proactive partner in health and safety, in collaboration with the Health, Safety and Environment department.
- Ensure effective internal communication related to HR matters.
- Perform any other related tasks as required.
- Adjust responsibilities in line with evolving organizational needs.

- Solid understanding of provincial and federal labor legislation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage and motivate teams.
- Ability to coordinate various activities in a structured manner.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated rigor in task execution and adherence to processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong proficiency in French (70% of work is conducted in French).
- Good proficiency in English (30% of work is conducted in English).
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations or Human Resources, or a college diploma in Administration with relevant HR experience, or any other combination deemed appropriate.
