JOB PURPOSE:

 

To create and support the incremental demand and placement for LP Specialty products with builders, contractors, and/or national account customers purchasing through regional buying offices. Assist with staff hiring, staff development, and project management.

If this sounds like you, join our growing team! In this position, you will have the opportunity to:

• Create demand for LP Specialty building products at the dealer and builder level

• Promote LP products with builders and develop pull through marketing for LP distribution partners

• Partner with Account Managers and Territory Sales Managers to meet common sales budget

• Provide builder and dealer feedback on competitor market intelligence

• Provide installation expertise and warranty information to builders and dealers

• Make downstream sales product presentations for the sole purpose of generating a pull through flow of orders for our distribution network

• Increase and implement LP product placement with the top 25 builders

• Establish relationships with the top installation contractors who install our products for the top 25 builders and with the building inspectors involved in specific markets/regions

• Develop solid working knowledge of builder pricing as well as installation cost

• Conduct product knowledge and product installation seminars for builders and contractors

• Responsible for product placement with the targeted builders • Assist the marketing team on our builder value proposition

• Maintain the Builder Rewards program with the area builders

• Participate in Regional Builder shows

• Develop and maintain the builder and contractor database

• Submit ongoing monthly reports on sales accomplishments and up coming sales opportunities to the GSM and distribution network

• Create local value proposition working with the marketing department for each product line provide best in class sales support to builders and contractors

• Must take ownership of the development and execution of a personal development plan

• Home office with extensive (75%) overnight travel visiting builders, architects, contractors, building officials  

 

WHAT DO I NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL?

  • 7-10 years of sales and/or marketing experience that includes a minimum of 5 years in territory sales management (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated achievement and performance record in prior role
  • Proven track record of leading by example, commitment to LP Values, thinking and acting like an owner, results ethic, sound business judgment and decision-making skills
  • Thorough knowledge of local building practices to be an effective consultative partner to area builders.
  • Thorough knowledge of multiple supply chain channels
  • Thorough knowledge of LP Specialty Products and their intended use and installation.

 

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
